The C 391 B is a complete system that can be adapted in a very practical and low-cost manner to match the ever-changing requirements of the recording, broadcasting, sound reinforcement and film industries. The sound engineer can choose from a range of microphone modules that can be mixed and matched to create customized studio-quality microphones for every conceivable application.
The AKG SE-300B is a power supply and signal output stage for AKG Blue Line series microphone capsules. The power supply is designed as the back-bone of the Blue Line series, allowing a variety of interchangeable capsules to be used as applications change. The SE-300B is a lightweight, rugged unit with an output stage that preserves the integrity of the audio signal while providing a very low noise floor and high output gain. A preattenuation switch provides extra headroom and eliminates distortion caused by overload when reproducing excessively loud signals. A low frequency roll-off switch reduces low frequency noise caused by wind, ambiance, bad grounds etc. The SE-300B is powered with an external 9 to 52 V phantom power source.
The AKG CK91 is a cardioid capsule with signal characteristics that allow the microphone to be used in a variety of applications. The miniature capsule features a flat wide frequency response of 20Hz to 20kHz allowing smooth accurate signal reproduction without coloration. The cardioid polar pattern is effective in eliminating noise and ambiance at the off-axis sections of the capsule. The result minimizes feed-back and allows the CK91 to be used to spot capture instruments and vocals for sound reinforcement and crucial recording. The CK91 is powered with the AKG SE-300B power supply.
